مَرْيَم: أَنَا مُدَرِّسَةٌ. مَا مِهْنَتُكِ أَنْتِ؟ Maryam: I am a teacher. What is your job?

مَرْيَم: أَنَا مُدَرِّسَة. إِيه شُغْلِك إِنتِي؟

(maryam: ʾanā mudarrisah. ʾēh shughlik ʾintī?)

زَيْنَب: أَنَا مُدَرِّسَةٌ أَيْضاً.

Zainab: I am a teacher too.

زَيْنَب: أَنَا مُدَرِّسَة كَمَان.

(zaynab: ʾanā mudarrisah kamān.)

مَرْيَم: فِي أَيِّ مَرْحَلَةٍ تُدَرِّسِينَ؟

Maryam: In which level do you teach?

مَرْيَم: بِتْدَرِّسِي فِي أَيّ مَرْحَلَة؟

(maryam: bitdarrisī fī ʾayy marḥalah?)

زَيْنَب: أُدَرِّسُ فِي الْمَرْحَلَةِ الابْتِدَائِيَّةِ.

Zainab: I teach in the elementary school.

زَيْنَب: أَنَا بِدَرِّس فِي الْمَرْحَلَة الِابْتِدَائِيَّة.

(zaynab: ʾanā biddarris fī al-marḥalah al-ibtidāʾiyyah.)

مَرْيَم: وَفِي أَيِّ مَرْحَلَةٍ تُدَرِّسِينَ أَنْتِ؟

Maryam: And in which level do you teach?

مَرْيَم: وَإِنتِي بِتْدَرِّسِي فِي أَيّ مَرْحَلَة؟

(maryam: wa ʾintī bitdarrisī fī ʾayy marḥalah?)

زَيْنَب: أُدَرِّسُ فِي الْمَرْحَلَةِ الْمُتَوَسِّطَةِ.

Zainab: I teach in the junior high school.

زَيْنَب: أَنَا بِدَرِّس فِي الْمَرْحَلَة الْمُتَوَسِّطَة.

(zaynab: ʾanā biddarris fī al-marḥalah al-mutawassiṭah.)

زَيْنَب: هَلْ لَكِ أَطْفَالٌ؟

Zainab: Do you have children?

زَيْنَب: عِنْدِك أَطْفَال؟

(zaynab: ʿindik ʾaṭfāl?)

مَرْيَم: نَعَمْ، لِي أَطْفَالٌ.

Maryam: Yes, I have children.

مَرْيَم: أَيْوَة، عِنْدِي أَطْفَال.

(maryam: ʾaywah, ʿindī ʾaṭfāl.)

زَيْنَب: كَمْ طِفْلاً لَكِ؟

Zainab: How many children do you have?

زَيْنَب: عِنْدِك كَمْ طِفْل؟

(zaynab: ʿindik kam ṭifl?)

مَرْيَم: لِي خَمْسَةُ أَطْفَالٍ.

Maryam: I have five children.

مَرْيَم: عِنْدِي خَمْسَة أَطْفَال.

(maryam: ʿindī khamsah ʾaṭfāl.)

زَيْنَب: هَلْ تُحِبِّينَ عَمَلَكِ؟

Zainab: Do you like your job?

زَيْنَب: بِتْحِبِّي شُغْلِك؟

(zaynab: bitḥibbī shughlik?)

مَرْيَم: نَعَمْ، أُحِبُّ عَمَلِي.

Maryam: Yes, I like my job.

مَرْيَم: أَيْوَة، أَنَا بِحِب شُغْلِي.
